VPS help.

Hello,
I need help using my VPS, when I try and connect to my screen using (screen -x css1) it says:
"There are several suitable screens on:
4559.css1 (Detached)
4466.css1 (Detached)
Type "screen [-d] -r [pid.]tty.host" to resume one of them."

But then when I try and detach from the screen using (screen -d css1) it says:
"There are screens on:
4559.css1 (Detached)
4466.css1 (Detached)
There is no screen to be detached matching css1."

Can anyone help?

Hi!
I can help if you want. I think you should install mark2 it is easier to screen servers with mark2 (My opinion for Minecraft servers)
But assuming to css, mark2 won't work here

Idk what is wrong, but I recommend buying multicraft, It's definitely worth it and easier then using screen and just console.

Disagree, VPS's are faster, especially from OVH.

Why spend money on Multicraft if you can use mark2 which is free to use ?

I think mark2 is user friendly as well... You need nothing more than a nice console. And mark2 offers console... You can also add scripts for auto reboots, and easily access your server files via FTP Client... ?

Waste of money, he is using it for his server setups, and multicraft is just bad anyway.

Alright ^^ I used a multicraft license when I had a server and I prefered it over using a console, but that's just my opinion

It says all screens are detached but when I try to go into a screen it doesn't work.

To detach from a screen (while your in it) hold control then press and release a and d

To attach to a screen thats already occupied its screen -dr (name)

Also if you have 2 screens with the same name you can use the uuid to attach/detach. Thats the number (like 4466 in your above example). Such as screen -dr 4466

As a side note to all the replies, why dont you help him fix his issue rather than telling him to use a panel. Screen is fine and if he wants to use it let him. I know i prefer a screen over multicraft/mark2 any day. Be helpful not lazy. </rant>
