Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone here would be able to give me a quick run down on how to turn some old pcs I have (still working perfectly fine) into something I could rent out as a vps/rdp to make a small bit of money where possible. If you are able to help, please shoot me a dm on here with a full explanation of how to do it and any necessary costs (Like I see some people talking about Windows Server 2016-19 and all that sort of stuff). If it does work and I start making a little bit of money I will be more than happy to pay an amount to whoever it is that helps me the most.

Otherwise have a good day.

Do you have the network & setup to support a hosting? Its going to need good cooling (A/C uses a lot of electricity), and it may cost more in electricity to have it up 24/7 than how you're renting it out for. You also probably need fiber if you're going to run it out of your house, 10Mbps upload speeds aren't gonna cut it.

TLDR: It 90% will cost you more overhead to operate than the amount you rent it out for.
