Yes but most of the time these $500 deals are for a pix-elated name, or even worse, a cape!

But that's just my opinion and some people value pixelated in-game-names alot more then me.

$500 is $500, doesn't matter if it's a name or a (really cheap) car.

Its not just MCM. What always amuses (and frustrates) me are posts on the PMC forums titled "Hiring professional builders" that are then, ofc, freebies. Unfortunately I was banned from the PMC forums for saying "crappy
" too many times, so I can't laugh at them anymore, but it's still interesting that they say they're hiring (aka paying something) and want 'professionals' (aka people that make a living with it).

The definition of being a "professional 'X'" is that you make a living doing 'X' thing, or it is a vital part of your living if you do multiple things.
As such, if you make <$500 per month, I would argue it can't really be called professional.

The issue is that the meaning of the word has been perverted, just like the meaning of "High quality" has. It's come to mean "I'm a professional, meaning I won't act like a spoiled child while we're doing this deal". As such, anyone who didn't use it before is now tempted to use it, to avoid the implication that they WILL act like a child.

Similar with "High quality". Almost anyone uses it now, because when you don't use it or some variation of it ("epic", "top quality" (yep, guilty there), etc), it implies that your product is NOT high quality.

Unfortunately restricting or banning those words would achieve nothing, so we've just got to social engineer people into attaching more of the original value to them again.
