First of all, the logo Gavin provided doesn't look like shit, it looks quite good in my opinion.
Not exactly worth $80 (I believe that was the grand total) but it is worth like $30-$40 ish.

Anyways, asking for proof of payment and asking for half of payment are very different.
Personally with any deal a seller should always ask for proof of funds, I do this with every deal I am offered. If someone offers to BIN an account, I ask for proof of funds, if someone wants a website configured, I ask for proof of funds, etc.
I see no issue with asking for proof of funds, I've sniffed out so many scammers by doing this.
If he doesn't like the logo, then I can understand why he wouldn't want to pay half. But proof he has the money to eventually pay? Come on... especially with him having 3 -rep and only 2 +rep, kinda suspicious him not giving proof of funds at least.

Also, his maturity and language show zero professionalism and really raise the suspicion level.
