I suggest that we lower the warning expiry times. I do see that they made all warnings expire but some of them are crazy. For example, I have a 20 point warning for calling someone out on reselling a script that I gave him. That warning doesn’t expire until 2022. I’ve learnt my lesson.

Edit: I’m not going to be on this site for that long. It’s just a hinderance and makes me scared to do anything on here except for telling people to go to discord. And even that scares me.

Edit 2: And now that Ellie posted, I’m afraid to react with disagree, and so are many. I feel that staff should have power through respect, not fear.

Edit 3: I’ve been looking through my warnings and I got warned for telling someone that they were a clown and that $50 isn’t pocket change.

Edit 4: It seems only staff have reacted with disagree, hmm. Where have I seen this before. You can't vote.on something that you control/doesn't affect you.

I personally believe that expiry times should be how they currently are and not any shorter.

You may learn to change within a couple months but that doesn't change the fact that you broke the rule and the warning points were put in place due to that. The warning points themselves are a reminder to not do it again in the future and also ensure there are some consequences to deter you from doing it again.

Whilst some years is a long time, it's good to know that after being active for so long you will eventually have the points removed rather than having them be a permanent addition (like they used to be). By that point I would feel that the points no longer reflect you but with that in mind a couple months or even a year is no where near enough time.

Also, you don't seem to have warning points for what you have described?

if you don't plan on breaking rules and getting more warning points, it shouldn't be a concern ;)

I’ll dm you the SS when I get home, or I can add you to the conversation.[DOUBLEPOST=1576161007][/DOUBLEPOST]

Take a look at my edit. I’ve had a support request open for a month and a halfish explaining almost all the warning points. I haven’t gotten a real answer yet.

In looking at the warning point PM that clearly wasn't the reason you were issued warning points or at least is a very biased or uninformed way of explaining it. If you feel scared to say anything then I would advise you read the rules as most people are aware of what they can and can't post. If you have been warned for something then you know not to do it again.

I’ve read over the rules so many times but some staff just hand out the points without properly citing a rule or having a rule to back it up and other staff just go with it. If you think that those points were issued incorrectly, can you help me appeal them?

You can respond to the PM to appeal it or you can make a support request.[DOUBLEPOST=1576181090][/DOUBLEPOST]

SSH what do you mean by this? I was only commenting my personal opinion on the matter of warning point expire times and nothing to do with disagree reactions or the proper use of them, we don't punish you for reactions unless you are abusing the system.

Yes but some staff (not you) will consider that "staff disrespect" and warn you.

That's ridiculous and you aimed it at me by mentioning me, no one has been warned for disagreeing on a response unless they have stalked the member and reacted to all their content with the intent to harass them or have in any way abused the reaction system. If somehow you believe this has happened then I urge you to make a support request but if you haven't seen this then you are spreading false information to somehow support your message.

i think these times are fair. as Ty stated above, as long as you dont break more rules you're fine. the whole premise of these new expiry dates coming into play is to balance out all warnings to expire, while still teaching the person who broke the rule a lesson. you're lucky they DO expire in the first place :)

I would agree these times are fair but on the other side I don't want these to be exceeding more than the Mid 2021's or the end of 2020's.

No matter how you try to not break the rules, at least some point you make a mistake, the warning system have a 36 month of expiry added however I'd disagree on that because after all a 1 year expiry was the best to go for.

We never give warning points unless you've explicitly and clearly broken a rule and if you would like to appeal the decision that a staff member has made you can respond to the warning conversation and as a worst-case scenario create a ticket for management to deal with.

Our current expiry times are perfectly reasonable in my opinion.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
