Warnings for spamming.

Hey, so recently ive seen alot of people saying the same message on every reply. Mainly in the advertising section, servers owners looking for youtubers to advertise their servers and i see the same people constantly replying with the same message "blah blah blah Channel link $7 a trailer blah blah".

I think there should be a limit of how much you can do this, or some system put in place to where you cant just keep posting the same comment.

Or a warning to be given to people reported for doing this.

I think this would have to be thought through a lot and the rules extremely clear for copy paste messages.

While it is spam, it could be useful for the server owner or client that is looking.

It generally isn't useful. Most people who do this just copy paste a message and don't even change their message for what the thread wants. I would be fine with a format that people used to reply to threads but they change the message for each thread so the reply is more meaningful and actually has the information that the person posting the thread wants.

B: They dont even respond to you.

Definitely agree on this one, I stated on my thread requesting advertisement that any form of spam/copy and pasted message would instantly be denied but people who spam don't read about the server, requirements or anything at all, they just want money.

Any decent owner knows that a channel that spams and uploads promos 24/7 won't get any players. The client is just looking for money, sure it's helpful but it's doing more harm than good.

I agree on the point that it should be treated as spam or off-topic if it is not directly aimed at what the thread is requesting. That way, they have to tailor their message to the specific thread, and if they do it in an offering thread, report them for advertising their service in another's thread (this is a far stronger warning than spam).

If you're making a thread requesting a service and a user posts a reply with their service, I see no problem with it. If you don't want to get people posting on your thread offering their services I don't understand why you'd make the thread in the first place?
