So, something that I've seen some people talk about is the fact after a while you generally forget what you get warning points for, who issued them, who reported you, etc.

I HIGHLY suggest we ask for a change - to add proof!
Currently this is what "warnings" under your profile could/might look like (mine for example)
https://gyazo.com/86ebeac01f15f237d69dc3254af8a846
https://gyazo.com/fe8f6b84f05126a70311da68fce37d85
https://gyazo.com/a6291fac5276d675306adc78848d70ec
https://gyazo.com/bb9fa23159aa4582b6503965661c10e3

Content: Ok? I mean what is this suppose to mean? To me it looks like just the name of the thread you where reported on, but no proof otherwise.

Given by: Ok, not bad. But it would REALLY FREAKING help if we got the username of the person who reported/issued the warning's' was added. Unless you PRIVATELY DM the person within a certain amount of time after you receive the warning or the staff member tell you they where the ones to do it, you generally would never know who issued that reputation NOR PROOF!

Details of warning: ok? So I apparently broke rule "382746892476" but there is no screenshot proof at the VERY LEAST? I can hardly remember what I get reported for over a couple months- to a year later.

Warning points: The amount of points you get when you get warned, that's whatever

If I ever wanted to report this reputation as false, I wouldn't have the staff members name. I wouldn't have a link to the thread, there is no screenshot proof. And when it's been a long time too, staff will forget or will not be able to access WAY older details of the accident, etc.

Let's make a stand and change the warning point system, just a little bit. So in the near future we can keep track of what we did. Also, I believe I was warned for harassment for once calling someone a retard. And once for NFSW content for saying "penis" but hey, there is no proof ever and I can't ever prove that. If I did want more proof on this then I'd probably have to contact staff, wait the 4+ months to get a reply, just to be asked who gave me the warning points - to this degree it doesn't show and I wouldn't know. So nothing is done about it.

I was once warned and staff said he lost the proof for it but when I asked a higher up staff he said it would stay

That sucks. I forget very easily so currently; I have 3 warnings and even though 1 of them has the name of the thread I was reported on there, I cannot find it. There are no links, no proof, nothing. It would be a lot better IF the warned context had a link to the page/comment and to have some screenshot proof.

Addon: If people who are banned have their reputation REMOVED from your profile - why can't simpler things that make life slightly easier to remember/understand be added?

When you receive warning points, you also receive a conversation in regards to it.

All you need to do in go to the Inbox then click “Search Conversation” then for the title, put the title of the warning or phrases of the warning.

You can also quote parts of the rule in which you received points for in the “message” box and you should be able to find the conversation.
If a comment on a thread you make is deleted- you will not ever again have access to it.
Even if staff msg you about getting warning points, if you leave the conversation then you will have to make a support request to either be added, to get a new conversation going, or such. I think it would be better to be able to go to your own profile, click on warning, click view and have the thread link there, the person who issued your warning points, what rule you broke, the screenshot proof, the conversation that was issued with the points, and how many points you got.

I trust staff, and I liked ninja. But that wasn't what was asked. Maddy clearly asked for screenshot (SS) proof and only got a quote.
Wasn't stated what date the warning was issued on either, just what he said that got them the warning.
I can show the convo but he said twice earlier that he’d send a ss and I figure he lost it

It happens. Forgetting is just apart of our nature, so when something is seriously accused, there should always be evidence supported with the report. Meaning MORE than just a conversation on the report. EVEN then It's never a screenshot of what you get reported for. AS shown here https://gyazo.com/74149114fd9bfc3585fc0e07bbada3bc (Keep in mind this was a while ago and am just using it for example)
1. I was told what I was reported for, following a link to the thread I made (Which got deleted so is useless)
2. I was told not to break the rules by reading the rules and to understand what I am not allowed to do/say.
3. I was told I could ask questions.

No screenshot proof of WHAT I was reported for was EVER stated in that conversation warning.
I know (Now) what it was in that thread that A. Got it reported and B. Got the thread deleted.
I also no longer have issues with cela has we had an 50/50 agreement to move past what happened.

The content section is simply how warnings work with the forum software we use on MCM. We can't do anything about that, unfortunately :p.

Quite honestly, I do not know of a single staff member who does not send a PM when you're warned? Nevertheless, if for some reason you never get a PM or are unsure of which PM it is and wish to appeal, you may create a support request and the staff member who looks at it first will be able to check your warnings and assign the request to the staff member who warned you originally. Our forum software simply hides the username of the warning moderator to prevent targeted harassment for warning someone, though it is a bit useless as we PM the user and pretty openly admit when we have warned someone.

For simplicity's sake, most staff will simply quote the violating content as it is automatically done for us when we click "warn" on your post or profile, though if someone asked me to screenshot the content I warned them for, I would do so, I fail to see why a moderator wouldn't.

Well, to recap:
- If you aren't sure who the staff member was that warned you, open a request and say "Hey, I would like to appeal my warning for 9.1-5 that was issued on May 17th, 2019.", then a staff member will be able to check the warning and assign it to the appropriate staff member for the appeal process. Additionally, if you appeal and a staff member upholds the decision, you are capable of requesting it be escalated Kram or Justis.
- If you would like screenshot evidence, simply ask. I would be hard pressed to find a moderator who would refuse to do this for you in all honesty.

As for it taking 4+ months to contact staff, this is simply wrong. We all respond in a timely manner. Personally, I go through support requests at least five or six times a week and I receive emails directly to my phone for conversations, which I normally respond to within 24 hours depending on when you message me. While requests that pertain to bans or warnings from retired/demoted staff might take a bit longer (these are assigned to all Moderators, so no one is specifically responsible for replying to it within x days), they honestly do not take 4+ months as they did last year.

You do have points, however it still doesn't hold back from the fact screenshot proof should still be added with the report.
Either if you hide or don't hide the staff member who reported you, username. Screen shot proof is vital to a lot of system.
1. You require screenshot proof/proof for your reputation
2. You require screenshot proof for ban reports Z
3. You require screenshot proof for support requests
4. You require screenshot proof for ban appeals
5. You require screenshot proof if someone is harassing you/dox threats/etc unless staff see it or you click the report button

Why can't WE ask for screenshot proof right off the bat for every warning we have ever had?
My suggestion.
1. Wipe all 1+ year warnings off the chart OR hide them
2. All recent warnings will include a screenshot of what was reported/ and who reported it (to help in any cases)
3. We know staff will get targeted and harassed, but what staff on what server/website doesn't? I get targeted for being a female/owning my a MC server and being in charge of staff, but you don't see me saying I'm not adding/showing my name to the report list because someone could harass me over it.

As for your first point, we have (as far as I know) accepted the suggestion to make just about every warning expire. This is something Justis has supported for a while, as have I.
Per your second point, I will bring it up with the staff team to include screenshots of the violating content as I really do not believe this is much of an arduous task. Though I see no reason to tell you who reported your post. If someone is mass-reporting content which does not violate our rules, they will be warned for abusing the report system.
We are targeted and harassed anyways. I does not bother me and I really doubt it bothers any other staff member here. I was not saying that is why our names are hidden on warnings, I simply said it's a feature of xenForo to do that which is pointless as we never exactly attempt to hide when we warn someone, anyway.

Indeed.

We always provide proof within warning conversations for the infraction you're being warned for. I think that is more than enough.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
