I was never made aware of how many warnings/points I had, and so I got banned because I never knew that I had 9 points and was on the edge and should have posted more carefully and cautiously thinking of the repercussions. I feel that warnings should either be displayed only to the user on their own profile, or it is PM'd to them EVERYTIME they get warnings. Also, I feel that the rule regarding "disrespect" should be changed, because let's be honest, we all get frustrated or forget what we are saying one time or another and shouldn't get warned for calling people "dumb". Also, staff should confront members about warnings before banning/warning them as it's only one side of the story if they are just acting on their own beliefs.

I agree, this would be very useful, whether the user is receiving warnings or not. It seems that everybody has at least one except for a few people that don't do anything/much on the forums. We should be able to see the warnings, and reason that we were warned. I fully support this suggestion.
Thanks for the support :)

pretty sure points is = to warning points right? ...
No.. that's trophy points, that's for achieving things like 100 likes, etc.

I agree completely. Nara was banned for 90 days for apparently having 30 warnings, while she only received less than 10 PMs about her warnings. The word warning means staff should be letting people know that what they are doing is wrong, otherwise it's not actually a warning.

Yeah lol, a warning literally means a

warn·ing
ˈwôrniNG/
noun
noun: warning; plural noun: warnings
a statement or event that indicates a possible or impending danger, problem, or other unpleasant situation.

The rules specifically say that you have to be respectful which essentially means showing respect. Respect is defined as a 'deep feeling of admiration for someone.' Banning a user makes it clear that you do not have a deep feeling of admiration for them which breaks literally the first rule on that page. I report disrespectful posts that staff make, but I doubt they are giving themselves warnings even though the rules define the punishment as a definite warning.

Imagine if staff got autobanned for reaching too many warnings, that would be embarrassing af lol

That rule is basically a bullshit rule that is impossible to regulate. You can't force someone to suddenly have a deep feeling of admiration for someone. That's called playing god.
