Maybe just get a wet napkin or something and wipe your keyboard down? There's a greater risk of something happening to you keyboard if you just soak it in the sink.
Well no you can't just wash it like that. Like most things such as phones when they say waterproof it would mean a light/fast drop in water that you would dry easily like maybe a drop in the toilet lol things like that would effect a phone that is not waterproof so I presume the keyboard is the same so by waterproof it would mean to an extent. Example - you spill a whole cup of water on it and it won't complete fry as long as you eventually dry it whereas a normal one would insta fry.
Anyways what I did with my keyboard was took each key off/got an image of where each key goes and cleaned out the keyboard let it air dry and clean each key before putting it back together. I do this every few months to try keep it in the best condition possible. It's a bit of work but well worth it!
You can't wash a keyboard like that, being waterproof probably means you can just wipe it down or some shit
