Idk I don't really make any money here, I just talk with people and help people do secure deals by middlemanning.

I used to be into building, you could do that or set up a basic minecraft starter server and sell for maybe 20$ (i dont know how much they go for)

Sorry to break it to you bud but the market is dominated by people who flip OGs for profit and out of habit, and that's the way it's been since this forum's inception. There's a difference between people who profit off OGs and people who try to milk every last cent out of their accounts because they're poor as fuck.

The market is cancer now because people resell things as soon as they get them for minimal profit. It would be one thing if people accepted reasonable offers for their stuff but they do attempt to milk every last penny. I'm not saying reselling should stop altogether, I'm saying the same accounts stay on the market for months because nobody wants to pay the extremely inflated prices that are being charged. Nothing new is coming to market which is leading to the decline of it and thus will render any investment into accounts to be a lost investment.

The only reason I'm being so hostile in the first place is because you attacked me trying to disprove my point, which I believe is true, although feel free to see differently. Feel free to call me a rude shit when you're the one that evoked the response from me in the first place . I'm just going to say that that is the way it has been for a long, long time and that's the way it will stay. (probably. no-one can predict the future.) Sure, there are probably more people doing it now - I honestly wouldn't know, because I haven't played Minecraft in about 2 years and so I haven't looked at the market really, but that's just the market. Sometimes you will get people like that, sometimes you won't. I'm not encouraging OP to be like that, rather I'd encourage him not to be like that, but some people that hold accounts act like that and everyone just has to accept it.

As for account's value going down and the market dipping / investments into accounts becoming a lost investment, I would say that's happening naturally. I do think that prices have increased from 2016-2018 but the problem with the market now is that due to all the good names having already been sniped, there are pretty much no "good" accounts coming in and refreshing the market, which pretty much results in the same accounts being passed around over and over. As we go on, those accounts will gradually lose their value, and Minecraft is going to become less popular (not saying this happening anytime soon btw, people were saying it was dying in 2015 and look where we are now.) but accounts will eventually lose their value. That's just life.
