I've heard ways of people charging back friends and family payments. Anyway to ensure this doesn't happen, also just general tips

EDIT: To clarify, I am mostly concerned with selling/buying Minecraft accounts with PayPal. Like if someone scams me when I'm buying or selling.

Just have a product that only idiots want to chargeback against. Apart from preventing it in the first place, I really don't know. Having lots of prior transactions as said above helps you as well.

People accept only bitcoin in many cases because there is no possibility of chargeback.

idk why some people can’t convert their shot to bitcoin, but what many people do is they put a PayPal price and a lower corresponding bitcoin price and sell like that.

morale of story is I don’t think it’s preventable on part of the seller or else the chargeback system would be useless in case it was actually needed for real chargebacks

Deal with people you know won't scam you. I know this seems kind of redundant (anyone can scam, right?), but I'm being serious. Putting your trust in reputable and known people will save you the most time, keep risk to a minimum and ultimately be beneficial to everyone involved in the long run. That is to say; the people you deal with can be your friends (and a lot of the time they are in my experience).

With people you don't know, you rely on other people's testimonials and you use your head. That is how you use PayPal and minimise risk.

If you don't want any possibility of chargeback at all, then Bitcoin and other crypto might be for you.

In general, know the community you're dealing with and take precautions accordingly (good tips above). Some communities are safer than others.

Make sure you have a stated TOS when the person buys, and make sure you can provide proof that they agreed to TOS and stuff like that.

PayPal is a bitch when it comes to charge backs, I lost 1,100$ at the start of the year, because some cunt decided to charge back after I sold him crypto currency.

Moral of the story: It doesn't matter if you have proof that the payment was authorized, or that the buyer got the product he was buying for, PayPal will always take their side and decide to fuck you over, I recommend you not using paypal and just find another source of payment

Honestly don't worry about it. People will get limited for charging back things over and over again. And I've only been charged back on f&f twice (cos they paid with bank) and they automatically lost both as they false reported it as an unauthorised transaction.

For g&s, your best bet is to send them an invoice with a clear TOS stating that you do not offer refunds and user cannot chargeback.
If they win the case wrongly, you have 10 days after it is closed to reopen it, complaining that you should of indeed won that with more proof etc. If you still lose the case, call them.

I find that most of my PayPal problems are easily solved through the phone.
The only thing with the phone is that they do not have a toll free number so make that your phone company covers it for free or think if it is worth it and will I lose more money from the phone bill then I get back if I do win.

add a note with the payment saying like "im not going to chargeback" or have some confirmation in the note, helps with the case lol

Pay via G&S and make them confirm the receipt, this makes them unable to chargeback.
This only happens on newer PayPal accounts though.

I'm mostly talking about like buying/selling MC accounts and no one accepts G&S here :p (only for loans)
