The people who told you that are most likely pure MCM haters. These species are very common. The species are originated from the "member" group and transform into the "hater" group when they get banned from the forum.

What Mojang should have done is flat out stated on their homepage that they were done letting account selling slide. Any accounts sold after this would get locked at least giving the community a chance to respond. Instead, they took the shady route and just locked accounts with absolutely no notice. If you email them they claim it's for suspicious activity. I've had two accounts locked that were never sold so I'm just curious about how Mojangs process for locking works.
Yea I had 5 accounts that were never on the market and they got locked so it's shady asf right now
What's funny is if you were to email them regarding this I bet they would have no proof that the accounts have been sold. Another reason why they should have given sellers time to stop was to be fair. Servers are given the chance to change before receiving any type of punishment so why does that differ with us?
I totally agree and mojang are going to lose a lot of players from this :/
They'll lose a lot of server owners, the players will just keep on playing, they'll just move on to the next server.
