Hi creators!

We have some cool new features and updates we'd like to share with you.

Webhooks

We now support outgoing webhooks for purchases, publishing, updates, and reviews. Webhooks are a great introductory step towards automation as a creator and allow you to receive events from us on external platforms such as Discord, Slack, or your own web application.

These events can be filtered to only apply to certain resources or categories. You can create custom webhooks where you define a content type and request body, and we will replace placeholders within the request body with event data. We also provide templates for Discord and Slack to get you started with just a few clicks!

Creator bot syncing

Syncing will now automatically occur when a user associates or disassociates their Discord account on BuiltByBit, hopefully further reducing dependency on our /sync command.

We have also added an additional option within the creator dashboard settings to automatically remove roles a user is no longer eligible for. This option has been disabled for our existing creators so that the expected behaviour remains, but will be automatically enabled for new creators. We will only ever remove roles which you have assigned to a resource or addon, or have set as your global purchaser role.

Note that the automatic role removal option may cause conflicts if you also grant the same roles through other means. This can be dealt with by splitting out your roles so that the ones you've assigned to your resources/addons on BuiltByBit are only ever granted by us. Or by disabling this option entirely.

Collaborative content

We've overhauled the resource permissions associated with teams to align more closely with our Pro resources editor. This means resource owners can grant granular control over editing permissions and allows collaborators to edit fields they were previously unable to, including the: title, summary, tags, cover, carousel, filtering, visibility, etc.

Note that collaborators are still unable to edit addons or split payments.
