Could anyone tell me what the most popular webhosting choice is for xenforo? Like, a vpn, namecheap, what?

I'm thinking of using namecheap just as a startout, startout forum. But would it be easy to switch to a vpn later on and carry it's data? Please inform me with detail. Thanks

PloxHost has a lot of clients run XenForo on their Webhosting plans. Never hear an issue from them. + You always have support from me instantly. :)

If your forum is just starting out Shared hosting would be fine to run XenForo as long as your provider has the installed dependencies that XenForo needs. Once your forum grows you can then switch to a VPS which is a Virtual Private Server. Hope that helps.

If you're still open to offers, you could start out on our Starter plan for $3.99/mo. We also have a few discount codes running right now, which would bring the price down even more. LAUNCH50 for 50% off your first month, or LAUNCH25 for 25% off recurring (life of product). You can upgrade your package for more storage at any point. If you have any questions, let me know!

Hello,

We have many clients who have XenForo installed on their Web hosting plans with us.

Our web hosting plans start from $2/month, and you can use either one of the following promo codes:
ONEMONTHWEB to get your first month for $1
SUMMER40 to get 40% off for life

You can find our plans here: https://clovux.net/web

Let us know if you have any questions.

I appreciate to all that offered services and added input. But I am more looking for how i would switch to a VPS later on. Meaning, how will i, and can i, transfer to a VPS whilst keeping the forum data.

you would be able to export your mysql databases, then import them into the new ones created on your VPS, (later),

as well as your files. You can compress the whole html directory, donwload it, and put it in your new one.
Simple as that :p
