Website Suggestions

Hey all,

I am currently an Intern for OptNode Hosting, which is owned by Harrison and Deleted User 73952.
I am currently working on their website, I have a decent amount of it completed, but am looking for suggestions to make it look even cleaner, and nicer.

Please reply with any suggestions you think could make it better, and please agree / disagree with suggestions so I can see which are the most common ideas, and what looks the best.

This is ugly tbh. Where are all the little illustrations, floating robots etc. It’s missing all sort of liveliness... it’s bland.

As a developer you should do both though? It’s pretty easy to find copyright free icons and images for a hosting website.

Nope, I was told to do exactly what they want, and that's what I am doing.

Ah if that’s what they wanted that’s fine I guess. Good job on the color scheme tho.

Anytime I see bootstrap sites I instantly click off. It's nothing new or special. They are all just... boring. Needs some spark that catches the visitor's eye. Needs a lot of padding and spacing work.

Too big of a space in the services section. Either display them in a 1x4 row or shorten the width immensely.



Heading needs work. It's unappealing and the font size needs work. There are better fonts out there. I suggest Montserrat as it matches more to the styling of the OH in the logo. Speaking of the logo, make the design of the site based more around the logo. Right now, I see none of that.


You also need to stop using embed styling. Sure it might make it easier to set the properties but it's just plain ugly from a developer standpoint. Rarely will you see professional hosting sites use this method of styling. Start compiling your edits in a file. It'll make it easier on you to make changes to the element's properties when necessary.
