Weeb OGs

Let's be honest. About 80+% of the users on MCM don't care about these "Weeb OGs" and I believe we need a fix. Post's take up room and are only considered "OG" to the small percentage of the people on MCM. Considering half of the ones listed under OG you wouldn't recognize unless you Googled it or were a fan boy.

Here's an example of a large bit of spam clogging up the OG section. I, as a huge fan of the Pokemon franchise, don't consider these OG. Same goes for other franchises, Naruto, if you have a well known character such as Naruto himself that's fine to be listed as an OG. But a character that had 2 minutes of screentime in a spinoff episode should not. They should be considered Semi-OG or a Weeb OG.

Essentially I'm requesting stricter rules on what is considered an OG.

• Must be widely known, even by people that don't know the series. (ie, Naruto, Pikachu, Ichigo, Yuno, etc..). (I don't watch anime but these came to mind first)

Either consider them a Semi or make a dedicated section for "Weeb OGs" (either a sub forum or a entire different one). Basically just to unclog the OG section of these accounts that most people couldn't care to see. (Preferably just make them Semi)

Now, for the weebs out there that want to argue saying all their Pokemon are OG; having a dedicated Weeb section would support you in getting buyers from that rough 20% of people that are genuinely interested in it. Listing it as a semi may lower the exposure it has, but it would be best for the forum overall.

(Yes, I have a useless Weeb OG listed in OG section because that's where they currently go (don't hate))

That is OG because of it being there. Not a very highly rated one, but it is still one, provided the rules right now. My argument is that Character Names that people know are OG. Games, Shows, Movies, etc are OG. Pokemon, Mario, anything really. I understand that it may (and probably isn't) wanted, but same goes for other accounts. There are many Semis that people don't have. What about the people that change their name from an OG? It's all arguable.

its like claiming a semi after 3+ years of availability and trying to sell it for 15$, not a lot of people are going to want it and people will notice that its not really deserving to be in its category. I just personally believe that 'oricorio' or whatever that pokemon was is worth almost jack shit because nobody but pokemon fans or people that bought the gen 7 games will know about the pokemon.

You have probably heard of the pokemon 'caterpie' right? its popular because it was in gen 1 and its weak as shit, but lets say that pokemon was introduced in gen 5 and was completely forgettable because theres already a bunch of weak iconic pokemon from older generations. People know caterpies final evolution as Butterfree, which is a gen 1 pokemon, but if caterpie, metapod and butterfree were all introduced in gen 5, no average joe would know about caterpie and metapod, but they might have heard of butterfree.

Yea the OG section is a pile of dog shit. I 100% agree with OP on just about everything. Just make more subforums under mc acc section. Organize it with price range please.
$1-$15 "broke boi acc's"
$15-$70 "semi-og"
$70-$300 "og"
$300-$600 "good og's"
$600+ "god acc's"

This would be very nice to have implemented. Obviously staff that know acc values would need to be implemented (p.s. hmu if needed) to help organize what acc goes into which section. Probably get 2 people who are good with prices to organize this shit. ik this won't happen but something has to be done.

It's just messy imo. If people are seriously interested in an OG acc and they click on the "OG Section" they shouldn't see a pile of crap. Currently if I bump my thread and nobody posts on my thread for 18-24 hours, it get's pushed to page 4 at least. This ruins it for people trying to get there actual OG acc sold.

Also I think it's fairly evident that the OG section is trash because when the sticky ad's for 3.50 a week came out, it was popping imo. People shouldn't have to pay extra to get their thread noticed because others spam the og section with worthless acc's. And isn't it $10 a week now? I think you guys can figure out what that means (if the price of sticky ad's actually did go up, not sure if it did).

Forgot I told him to make this. Anyway, this wouldn't be to target, but to help the part of the community who wants to look for anime accounts. If you don't want it offending you by calling it weeb, it can be called 'Fiction Accounts' which refers to anything from a story, so Naruto, DarthVader, etc will all fit in this category.

ByeFuckers, no one who wants a pokemon og and comes on mcm wants to look through 400 pages of other OG's do they? and we don't want to look through 400 pages of fiction accounts? so this basically helps everyone

I mean if any of the Pokemon OG's were the starters (Squirtle, Pikachu, Snivy, Chimpchar, Tepig, Oshawott, etc.) or really well known ones that are good (Victini, Zekrom, Charizard, Blaziken, Lucario, etc.) I wouldn't have a problem but when you take the mid generation random ones that no one cares about and start selling them for high amounts when they really are worth jack shit I have a problem

so many pokemon accounts are being sold at under like $30 in the og section. accounts with values in the hundreds are being forced to the semi section where they get absolutely no attention because of the masses of shit accounts that people post. a lot of anime accounts are in semi section for a reason i don't see how pokemon should be any different.
