Hey everyone,

I’m currently developing Craftingtable.org: a free, web-based toolkit specifically for the Minecraft creator community.

The project started when I noticed how many resource thumbnails lack quality or get cut off when browsing for resources Most creators upload their art without seeing how it actually looks next to competing resources. From my experience, your Thumbnail, Title, and Tagline are the most important tools you can optimise to drive sales.

Roadmap

  • A Web-based GUI Editor: Stop guessing slot numbers. Visually design menus for DeluxeMenus or CommandPanels and export the YAML directly to your config.
  • EssentialsX Message Editor: A live-preview editor to quickly create and format custom messages.yml files without the trial-and-error.
  • The Config-to-Wiki: Paste your config.yml and instantly generate a formatted Markdown table or a shareable "Web Wiki" link for your buyers

Feedback Wanted

  1. What is the most annoying "manual task" you have to do before uploading a resource?
  2. What tool do you currently keep 5 browser tabs open for?
  3. If you could "Auto-Fix" one thing in your workflow (BBCode formatting, Thumbnail Testing, Thread Designs, etc.), what would it be?
Drop your wishlist below! I'm looking forward to hearing what would make your life as a creator easier.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Honestly speaking, I know where everyone stands with A.I but it's our future. Adding the ability to have Thumbnails and Thread Designs be generated for the product you are trying to sell would be 10/10. Now I haven't dug too deep in the graphic design for A.I but from what I've seen if you could somehow have the ability to edit what the AI generated without just typing "hey i dont like this text in block 1 change it"

Hi, we won't be implementing in any generative art based workflows into our tools.

Personally, I don't agree with how much generative AI is used in Thumbnails & Threads on this website, I think it diminishes the quality work that I and others put into our craft.

I appreciate your suggestion nonetheless, if there are any other workflows you find stressful or a pain, let us know!

Writting the readme.txt, would be nice to have something where I can just enter what I want and it'll rephrase it into a professional readme.txt

Thanks for your reply!

I’ve now built a system that allows you to build your own readme files. Unfortunately it doesn’t quite “rephrase” but it allows you to build .txt, .md & .html files fully formatted, save and download templates to import later.

Think Discohook but for readme files.

it has a dynamic placeholder system so within those templates, you can replace, Minecraft version, author, product name, discord link etc.

You’re able to define your own custom placeholders too!

As for the rephrasing, ChatGPT will do a better job than I could create myself.
