What annoys you about faction servers?

How its now just focused on the god damn payout. One bug that gives your faction a slight disadvantage? Quit. Get breached and raided? Quit. Its so money focused at this point its not even fun anymore. Full of toxicity and hate, Factions used to be fun for me once upon a time. Its far gone from being saved.
Imo the gamemode has a really high bar for entering the comm as a server, as a result theres less servers and the ones that survive end up being the same.

Yeah I have to agree with this - especially the prefix one :rofl:
Factions is all the same now adays, servers offer like 2k payouts for the top faction, then sell the server since the faction see's it as a easy payout so they go all in buying ranks and stuff. Honestly factions is over rated and needs to be remade and renamed. Worst part is that goes for loads of gamemodes, I can pretty much say the gamemode that is under rated is a MMORPG gamemode, only 1 server has done it the best. For me factions will be better if these things were intergrated in
- A death that means more than just "gear" since factions with like 10 members just stack kits 24/7
- Better ways to raid bases
- Limitations
- Actual wars
- Better PVP systems
- Based around a community
- Actual build up for something cool.
and thats just all I can think off. There is probably a whole bunch more you could add.

I'm a Towny guy, however from the perspective of a developer -
- All servers are essentially the same, with minor configuration differences.
- The toxicity it has is one of the many reasons I play towny.
- Almost ALWAYS P2W (I like the idea of everyone having a fair shot, I don't care about selling ranks but let people have a way to get them ingame regardless of the challenge required.)
- New concepts are scarce because people either don't want to hire developer or when they do they want the exact features as another server.
