I mean nowadays most servers aren’t fun or unique and the ones that are only have a around 100 players except for wynncraft. The only server I play right now is purple prison for 1 thing,
the community. Yeh custom stuff is cool but having a large chatty community kept me playing
Assuming this is a Minecraft Server and not Discord etc....
Good Staff
Reliable connection
Good gameplay, plugins etc
Non-toxicity, high standard of moderation
Having a Discord server alongside it though to interact with other players outside of Minecraft is always a bonus, as seeing what others are up to in-game can sometimes attract me to play
There are a few key components which make a server successful in my opinion:
- a helpful and responsible staff team.
- custom concept, plugins, or take on the game mode.
- quality over quantity; putting the community above the profits earned from the server.
If I join a server and notice one of these are missing, I usually leave and move on to the next. These are my opinions, but I'm sure they are very similar with other's views.
