What can a MCM 'System Administrator' do that I can't do by reading documentations and googling?

I really need an answer, I see 'system administrators' on here charge for stuff that the average user can essentially do by googling, or reading the docs.

Someone explain, thanks.

That kind of goes for pretty much everything in life. For example - how to get a degree in some topic? Read a textbook and google to learn all the content. Want to develop a program? Do what you just said.

Anybody can usually do anything if they have the knowledge, we just have specializations on what we do. I pay for reliability of an experienced system administrator who definitely has more knowledge than me compared to my half assed attempt to make something work.

Honestly, I knew someone was gonna respond to this, but this is totally different, there is a big difference between learning something for a lot of [like developing for example] and wanting to install a game panel on your server, you can do the second one easily by just googling or reading the documentation unlike learning to be a developer.

Pretty much my entire reason for learning how to program and how to use linux- why pay for someone else to do it, when you can learn to do it yourself?

To answer: Nothing, except maybe experience with troubleshooting

People pay for convenience and reliability. Someone can install that game panel for me for $5 within a couple of hours instead of me spending those painful hours racking over how to get the thing installed. That's just a preference of a person and no one really should be questioning which option you choose (I'm not supporting either side, just my input).

Same goes for configs, setups, builds etc.
I'm pretty sure you could, but maybe you don't want to spend the time? Plus they have experience too. (hopefully)
