Alright I’m very confused because there are so many opinions out there. So what I’m asking for is just straight fact

1) Is a vip rank violating the eula if vip are the only players getting it? Or am I able to set it up so that vip get X perks but then normal player rank #20 can get the same perks but they have to work for it? Is that counted as a violation?

2) I heard that you can sell things if it benefits the whole server, so if someone bought a crate and got a few extra in game (not extra enchanted Op armor or weapons) vanilla items but everyone else got a key for a non-paid crate where they would have a chance to get items as well, would that be a violation?

3) if all my crates carry vanilla items that aren’t super enchanted, does that count as a violation if vip’s just have a higher chance of winning x items?

4) If timefly is given with playtime, but a vip buys their rank and is given an extra minute, is that a violation? Even if fly is set to disable during pvp?

I have lots of other examples.... but I’m just really confused. Also... what plugins can I use as vip perks? Cuz there aren’t many out there.

As long as there is a way to not to pay in order to get a rank/perks that you could pay for, it is to my understanding that it is not violating the EULA.

Doesn't violate the EULA:
* Cosmetics
* Crates that only gives cosmetics
* Things that affect the game for all players on the servers, like boosters
* Servers that require payments to get whitelisted
* Chat effects

Does violate the EULA:
* Kits
* Crate keys that give items/coins etc.
* Purchasable in-game currency
* /fly etc.
* Anything that may give them an unfair advantage over normal players (even if it can be obtained normally)

All your four points violate the EULA, as they give what can be considered unfair advantages to the VIP players.

so for the server’s that require payment for whitelisting, how does that work for a network?[DOUBLEPOST=1617399145][/DOUBLEPOST]

That was my original understanding too. But then there are others who say otherwise and I have read the eula but it’s kinda not detailed...

Basically I wouldn't worry about the "EULA", no server follows this as its a joke. Sell whatever you deem necessary.

Hypixel should be gone then?
I'm not much of a hypixel player, but I don't think anything they sell give any advantages over free players. Buying a rank does not, for example, give special kits and nothing (as far as I am aware) you can get in crates changes how the actual games are played. It gives some things you can do in the lobbies, yes, but nothing for the games.

Like others in this thread says, people really just don't follow the EULA. (I'd not take this route though) I would really like to see the EULA be adjusted to what Minecraft has become now, as of now its like every server is breaking the rules but its just the standard which makes no sense. And those that do follow the rules are just at a disadvantage, I would just hope they go in our direction soon.

Hypixel skyblock offers gems which can be traded for in game coins.
Isn’t that like an in game currency though? Also yes I do wish the eula would be adjusted a bit.

Hypixel dont violate the eula, because u can pay for get fast items on skyblock, also /fly is not advantage if only can u use it on lobbys
I’ve also heard that even if players can get the same perks in game if the work for it or pay to get it, it’s still an advantage. Because what if someone grinds forever and then gets /fly and good gear and whatever else and a new person joins and tries to pvp with them? Isn’t that just the same disadvantage?

How I would put it; Selling something that gives you an in-game advantage is against the EULA agreement. That is probably the simplest way to put it. There are also other things but that is practically the main thing. You can just read through it on Minecraft's website somewhere, just search for it.
