What CPU is better for a MC Server?

As the user wrote above. It brand doesn't matter if you don't give specifics... it's like trying to compare Samsung smartphones vs Motorola smartphones. You need to be more specific. What series, generation, family, etc are you looking at?

Edit: Generally speaking, Intel CPUs tend to have better single-thread performance. Since Minecraft can only utilize one thread, then Intel wins. That being said, there is a lot of other factors playing into this.

The AMD Model can be a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the Intel could be a Intel Pentium for all we know, give us an exact model #, also, instead of asking, you should also look at the thread ratings of the CPU and model that you are thinking of getting, the higher the better.

intel will almost always run better for the money on game servers that utilize 1 thread/1 core, Minecraft being one of those games.
