Thats true, chrome spies on you too (although i use ff). But i think there is a big difference between a chinese and american company spying on you, additionally chrome would not control your wallet.

Personally i think being open source is a must for my wallet because its just so easy to steal bitcoins.

:shrug: I don't really care, everything I do on my browser would be fine publicly, nothing to hide. China makes everything in America as well, so you should worry about your fridge, phone, PC, camera, and piggy bank spying on you first.
Also I hold a total of $200~ in crypto atm so it doesn't exactly matter
