I know it's gonna sound really bratty or horrible when I say this but I'm actually frustrated with what I got rather than happy.

I made a list for Christmas (as most people do) saying what to get so the person buying the gifts as "Santa" knows what to buy. I made this list, and I talked with "Santa" about it (a.k.a my mom/grandma) & I showed them the list like the day or so after Black Friday.

My list contained a few items, (which weren't even pricy) such as the Nintendo Switch, Steam Giftcards, 144 Hz monitor, a Scuf controller for my PS4, a headset (that I ended up buying. "Santa" knew this.) and a few other bland gifts such as just "gift card".
My list also contained links to each of the items I wanted.

I opened my gifts a few minutes ago and I literally got one item off of my list. (Which I get every year.) In total, I received:

$20 in Steam Giftcards.
Box of Clothes.
Box of Clothes.
Box of Clothes.
A chair, which I never even mentioned that I wanted and came unusable for me. (I also already have a chair that is completely fine.)

I know it's better than what others got, and that it's the "thought that counts", but I don't understand why my "Santa" just blatantly ignored my list. It makes it seem like they didn't even think to read my list in the slightest, and that really makes me unhappy
LMAO ARE YOU 8?

Mate in total I literally got $20 worth of things that I'll actually use. I'm upset. You'd be upset if you got things for Christmas that came broken and that you know you won't use, especially if you made a list and it was blatantly ignored.

They're clothes I already have. I don't mind clothes, but if it's literally the only thing I get besides $20, yea it's annoying.

Yea but I didn't even get money. I've told my "santa" that if they can't get what I want, then to please just give me money instead and I'll buy something I want later. I wish they would've done that instead. :/

You really should be grateful you’re getting something my guy. If your parents took all them gifts back how would you feel. Anything is better than nothing[DOUBLEPOST=1577236814][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'd feel fine as I basically got nothing.

A $20 Steam giftcard and a lot of clothes isn’t nothing is what I’m getting at you didn’t get what you wanted but that’s not the point of the entire thing

But there is a point... How would you feel if you just got something random that you didn't want for Christmas when you said specifically what you wanted? It was basically just a big "fuck you" from my grandma and aunt, as I gave them a list that contained what I wanted, the price, where to find it, and when it would be shipped. I put a lot of effort into listing everything they needed to buy me any of the gifts, and it ends up with me only getting one of them.

The main reason why I'm upset is because of how the entire thing actually went down. I had to haul all of my family's gifts (which are kept at my house) down into people's cars, as well as under my tree (since people gather here to open gifts) as well as watch them open it. I had to clean up after everyone after everyone left, and then wait for my gifts anxiously as I was so excited.

I get my gifts and was left more disappointed than anything, I wasn't frustrated yet. My grandma hyped up my final gift (the chair) in the garage as something that "I've always wanted" and how "I'll really like it". I go into the garage and search for the gift, find it behind a very, very narrow walkway in my garage, and then have the squeeze the chair through that. (which they never did, they assembled the chair after they got through the walkway) After I get this chair through the walkway, I realize it's broken. I go inside and fix it (sort of) and sit down on it. It was so uncomfortable and so, so small compared to my other chair that I physically can't use it. After doing all of this and realizing it was for not, I got very, very frustrated and just sat down on my chair I've had for a month.

Hopefully, my message above shows you now fully as to why I'm frustrated with my gift. Sure, the thought is what matters, but it doesn't really seem like my grandma and aunt put any thought into what I actually wanted. If that's how things go, what is the point of making a list in the first place?

Like actually fuck off. You just make yourself look like a brat maybe your parents didn't have enough money to buy you anything expensive and they don't want you to get money so early (you are still writing letters to santa) I believe that you should be thankful for your parents feeding you every day.

My “parents” (I live with my grandma) do have enough money to spend on Christmas. I heard a conversation of her and my uncle talking about how they collectively spent $1,000 on Christmas presents just for my cousins (3) and still had loads of money left over for other presents. (Which I never got or were for someone else.)

You can’t call me a brat when you literally got almost $2,000 on Christmas presents this year. You’re spoiled, no one should have that much spent on just themselves.

The gifts I picked out (if you would’ve read the stuff I said) costed relatively cheap. (144 Hz monitor for $100, Steam gift card for like $20-$50, Scuf Controller for $120.) I got an iPhone 6 one year and it was more than all of these things. You literally made yourself look uneducated by assuming things you have no clue about without reading half of the things I wrote, you spoiled brat.

I’m not writing letters to Santa, I was just comparing the two. I literally gave my gram & aunt a list saying what I want so they could get a general idea on what to buy, which they completely didn’t.

If you would’ve also read what I wrote, you would’ve seen that I wasn’t frustrated at not getting anything, I was disappointed. I was only angry once the “big gift” that i got (a $100 chair) came broken and unusable.

Maybe learn what you’re talking about before you speak, you can go “fuck off” as you so clearly said.
