What exactly happens when you send a Goods and Services payment?

Hi all,

I usually send loans via Goods and Services payments, but I’ve had a number of people telling different stories about exactly what G&S payments do.

So, if you could answer the question in the title, that’d be brilliant. Is the money held by PayPal for a certain amount of time, etc?

2.9% and 30c fee, chargebacks are easier to create and easier to dispute (except it doesn't support loans or online goods, so there goes any protection for 95% of this forum), it's the only one allowed by PayPal for business transactions, etc
