What gaming laptop should I get for regular college class usage and casual CS:GO/basic gaming?

Title says all basically. Let me explain in more details. I want a laptop that is quiet during basic usage (browsing the web, taking notes on word or google docs). I don't want it to get too hot. I really love Razer's laptop designs, but it just turns me off with how hot that keyboard really gets. I'm not too much a mac fan, but may go with one depending on my options. I love the macbook pro's design, which is why I love Razer's laptop designs so haha. I want the specs to be really amazing. I even have looked at Alienwares which I'm quite interested although they are pretty heaving and seem like they would be a pain in the ass to carry. Thanks.

I'd recommend getting a lenovo that fits in your budget. They've really tuned down the bloatware now, and their hardware performance is very decent for the price. For casual/basic gaming you don't need a massive gaming laptop like the above^.

Compared to other gaming laptops, this one is relatively thin and still maintains performance. I have one of these and they aren't half bad. They can be thinner, but they are still really good.

yeah, a former classmate of mine had one. they're thin enough to still be portable without killing your back, but why spend more money than you need to?

In the chatbox he said he wanted something nice and he doesn't have a budget, so I recommended this.

Don't get the new MacBook..
I mean I'm really leaning towards the Razer Blade Stealth just cause I love it's design of basically a Macbook Pro and the specs are way better than a Macbook pro so.

So it sucks?
I mean, I have used this computer as my main computer for about 6 months now. Everything on it is fine, after about 4 months, my touch screen gave in and I have to send it out but I don't have the time to because I currently use this for school as well. My hard drive is almost filled up with only 13GB left. With minecraft even on my old computer, it runs pretty well and you do not really notice that there are missing frames. But, when I bought this computer, I was told this computer was build specifically to run steam games.

Nobody hate on me for saying this;
But there are some powerful MacBook Pros you can purchase. Good for typing up documents and gaming too!
Go die... xD but actually though, the school that I am attending almost everyone has a mac. However, I notice that I am able to connect to the internet faster and it is just more user friendly. The only benefit of having a mac is that you have facetime and imessage on your computer so you can text your friends in class.

I've always liked ASUS. The laptop I used a few years back could play Minecraft perfectly and didn't get too hot either.

What about alienware or razer? I haven't had one. Maybe I thought you would know.

Alienware is basically paying for a fancy case with lights and an alien logo. When I was looking to buy a laptop, Alienware looked very nice but the specs and price don't go together well.

I have a friend who has the razerblade. According to him, it runs very smoothly and is lightweight but costs a lot.

I ended up purchasing a $1,100 ASUS laptop while it was on sale for $900. It looked very plain but the specs were great for a laptop and that was all I needed.

It all depends on budget and what you plan on using it for though.

Interesting. I might purchase a case for a custom built computer someone is giving me. Any ideas?
