I don't make money off discord I do freelance work such as graphics and development. But it makes sense.

I wouldn’t necessarily say “genre” is the right word to use here. All you have to do is appeal to what users might like and enjoy and maybe mix and match ideas. You could make one for a specific game or for a whole group of games. Maybe you could make a political Discord. There isn’t really one specific type that outranks others.
