Lets get this over and done with and see what the mcm community thinks. What in your opinion is the best call of duty. Since it is a bit unfair with mw2 campaign and bo2 zombies since those are just legendary I would say based on the multiplayer

Going to go on a limb and say World at War.
I really enjoyed the basic and accurate weapon specification. Almost all guns were not overpowered (apart from the PPSH-41) and had really balanced maps, including their level design.
Many people are probably going to argue against it, but I can definitely having many hours spent in World at War.

Blacks ops 2 was the first cod game I played. So I might be a might biased. But I loved it a lot. I remember when I was younger and wanted to make sniper clans to get cool trickshots and ninja bomb defuses and all that. Fun times. After that cod game imo it went to shit.
Ballista was one of the best snipers I ever used for quickscoping.

Even better when after so long you mastered the spawning spots and wall banging and you could just kill people the second they spawned in nuketown xd.

multiplayer was godly as well but wasn’t as good as mw2 because that shit was toxic asf and i lived for that, but 1v1’s on nuketown with a ballista or a dsr settled any argument

In my opinion, Black Ops 2 is and always has been the best COD game that has come out ever.
Graphics that still hold up decently to now.
The best multiplayer that has come out literally ever - no battle pass, no crates or supply drops, no emotes, specialists, no shitty maps minus a few DLCs, great movement & guns, and the sniping mechanic was phenomenal. There really wasn't a bad gun in that game, you could make every gun good if you were just good enough. If modders didn't ruin the game it would still be one of the most active CODs in terms of the size of the community/active playerbase.
An amazing campaign, one of the best that has come out.
A low file size, with it being ~ 20 GB, while Modern Warfare (2020) is like 200 GB and, in my opinion, is one of the worst COD games since. I shouldn't have to uninstall multiple games just to play one. I have like 8 games on my PS4 with a 700 GB SSD, and I'm out of space because I have 2 COD games. It's honestly getting ridiculous.
A pretty decent zombies experience. It's where I personally learned how to play zombies. (even though I played black ops zombies first) It's definitely not the best game for zombies though. Sure, there are 2 of the best maps (Origins, MOTD) with Buried being a pretty great map, but Tranzit and Die Rise are absolutely horrible and would be unplayable without the bank. Town being a standalone map you can play is pretty fun up until it gets repetitive, and no one really plays Farm or Bus Depot. Black Ops 3 is definitely the game to go to if you want an amazing zombies experience. (plus there's the ability to play custom zombies maps now)
Overall, I don't think any game studio will be able to even get close to the greatness that Black Ops 2 is. If they would remaster it with just updated graphics & a few minor balancing issues or bug fixes, I genuinely think they would make a boatload of money & a lot of fans happy.

cod bo2 zombies just hits different, I still play it today on my ps3
Modern Warfare 2 and Ghosts.
I never played multiplayer as a kid, I only played campaigns. I know Ghosts is widely hated, but I just wasn’t a big nut for Call of Duty so I never critiqued the games like I do for now for cinema... I enjoyed both campaigns. I also admit Black Ops was a good campaign.

Yes bo3 zombies were great I can agree on that, the base maps better then bo2 ones but bo2 had some strong dlcs aswell.[DOUBLEPOST=1594029374][/DOUBLEPOST]
