What keeps you active in a community?

Hi MCM,

Just doing some general research, I would like to know what keeps you active in any community you are a part of?

This could be a discord community, a Minecraft server or even a local club you are a member of.

Having friends that play the server.
An actual unique idea / good content.
Obviously an active community / playerbase.
Not a trash/corrupted/bias owner.
No retarded staff.
Little pay-to-win (I still want access to a lot of the features).

I don't often reply to MC-Market threads but I must certainly say that friends are the main reason people stay in a community but I find that the second best way to keep people in a community is for them to have a reason to stay. It could be anything depending on the genre and where the community is.

Things I usually look for in a Minecraft server:

- Kind staff and leadership.
- Bountiful updates.
- Unique and engaging content/experience.
- A community that's at least 20 users to keep me company.
