Hello,

I've been off this site for some time since I felt like I was going nowhere in terms of developing myself so I changed up my activities and everything was going smoothly. Unfortunately it didn't last long I find myself stuck in the same position I was months ago, sad, unmotivated and feeling lost.

I have things I'm into but I feel like I don't have any hobbies that I can stick to for a long time since I eventually "fall out of love" with them, and this cycle just keeps on repeating which leads to weeks, sometimes months with no real motivation for me to keep going.

Now that my edgy reason for this post is out of the way, what are the things that keeps you going?

you just have to keep yourself active and constantly busy in my opinion. push yourself to stop thinking sad, sounds weird but you can easily distract yourself from it if you focus. try new things to do. also don't use too much social media as that's the biggest cycle you can get hooked to waiting for someone to post.

What are your addictions?

The number one reason for me feeling the feelings you are feeling are because of addictions, it could be from looking at your phone in the morning to watching a tv show/movie.

Another point is you might not be doing something like, running, (getting those endorphins in your body).

Endorphins definition: any of a group of hormones secreted within the brain and nervous system and having a number of physiological functions. They are peptides which activate the body's opiate receptors, causing an analgesic effect.

In other words, it makes you feel happy and motivated, honestly if you think about it logically, just running in the morning would make your day if you get what I mean.

Learn to stop negative thoughts. Stay entertained, have a goal. You're your biggest judge; humans naturally look at their flaws rather than perfections. You'll judge yourself harder than anyone else as you've been there for everything you've ever done, seen, thought, and messed up. Maybe get a dog for along the way :rolleyes:

Yeah I’m tempted to uninstall social media apps on my phone.

I did start feeling this way after a long time without physical activities, so I’ll try to get back on track on that.

If you have time to feel unmotivated, then you have too much time on your hands. Get new hobbies, stop being on the internet all the time, play some sports, make music, learn to draw, code on the side, learn how to craft things. You cant be unmotivated when you are constantly thinking about the things that are filling your life up

That's called being a jack of all trades.
You get decent at shit but lose interest within a month so you never become good.
I know a kid like this and it is infuriating because he picks up on shit at a speed that is like 5x as fast but he loses interest in it.

If I’m like that then it sucks :<

Whats your current title in life. In school, college, uni, work? a in the middle of one or the other
I’m in my last year of high school.
