My man, yes, the point of my reply was that it's more enjoyable and more profiting. What you make with minecraft servers is nothing near the number you can make with game dev. That's not something you can change or prove otherwise or else non will learn game development and they will all just go ahead and make minecraft servers.

You can literally raise up to 100k on Kickstarter for your game if it's good enough and YOU are good enough. Why are you trying to start an argument over facts?

What programming language are you using for game development & software?

A good start would be to get into C, then probably C++. If you learn C then it’ll be a lot easier to learn C++. If you know Java, then it’s easy to learn C. TutorialsPoint has a good quick tutorial on C and C++ that you can skim through to learn the basics. There’s YT tutorials as well, I recommend Derek Banas.

Python is a good language to learn too if you haven’t already. I would also learn SQL, and probably play around with Redis.
