I created this forum after making my own Faction PvP Server and had ALOT of struggles and want to highlight what people like me should spend their budget on. Feel free to post your opinions in the comments:

My Server: FaxPvP.net

.Org Rentals(Minecraft-Server-List.com, MinecraftServers.org, Topg, ect)

Ahhhh .org rentals. In my opinion they are not worth the money, unless you have lots of money. If you can rent out any of these slots for 3+ days go for it. If you are looking for 1-3 hours I really wouldn't recommend it.

YouTubers/Twitch Streamers

YT's are a good investment better than .org if you ask me, but you have to know what to look for in a YT that makes him good. Here are some pointers I have learned:

- Small YT's with 100-300 views almost always viewbot

- YT's should have good proportions:

- His subs/views ratio should be good if he gets 500+ views with 100 subs I wouldn't recommend hiring them.

- His likes should be proportional to his subs and views
- If gets 1k views with 10 likes you know something's wrong definitely don't hire him

- Make sure he has active subscribers, this is huge. You want FanBoys, the more the better because they will see he plays on your server and come on.

- TWITCH streamers are terrible good for traffic during the stream and during the stream only

Custom Plugins/Builds/Ect:

- I really would not invest heavily in this, unless you are a big server. I know I am gonna get a shit ton a hate for this but I have learned a lot of people don't give a shit about unique servers, they really just want generic HCF, Factions, Ect. I figured this out by making a awesome unique faction server and no-one joined and went back to generic factions and got 10-15 players. Feel free to oppose me in the comments

The most important thing:

First impressions, what matters most over unique visits is player retention. I have come up with my theory called Lemon Law. When a player joins he decides within the first 15 minute weather he will leave or stay. So make a eye-poppng spawn view when you first join. Something truly beautiful, I found this increases my player retention by 10 Fold.
