What should I do to advertise better?

So my server is "low" on players and I need a better way to advertise, what should I do? I have reached out a lot of small youtubers but none of them ever record :/ 1 did record once and he got about 5 activate people to join. Lately I have been posting all over the planet minecraft, and other websites, but the only people who join ask for OP then leave :/ What should I do? buying an ad is 50$+ is it worth it? Some people say just go spam IP on mineplex, but I feel that is not right and I don't want to get my account banned. At this point I need players, I just added a new vote rewards system, but if I don't have people online to vote, it is worthless.

Try advertise on other websites can be a good way. Another way is to get some server youtubers who are relatively popular 1Ksubs+. Then try if you haven't already advertise on www.minecraftservers.org, www.minecraftservers.net and www.planetminecraft.com. Hope this helps.

We are advertised on those sites but how would I attract a youtuber without paying them like 400$ a video?

You spam on mineplex, and your player retention rate is like 0.000001%.
It doesn't work.
Your only hope is to do this
1) Get a domain. Short, simple, memorable
2) Be creative (Chances are, if your server is 100% unique, more people will stay)
3) Post on .org, people still click the very last page to view your ads.
4) Post on MinecraftForums.net (It helps)

Some paid alternatives can consist of buying .org slots (They work)
Paying a YT'er to record EXCLUSIVELY on your server (More money, but if the yt'er is good, It's worth)
Those are some things off the top of my head.
