I have alot of free time since I don't play games anymore.
And I always wanted to become a developer but now I'm stuck what should I choose? And what do you guys recommend to do first?

Well, with Web Development it would also create a path for you in the real world if you do choose to use it. And with Minecraft development, it's pretty easy to get bored of the game which in turn would lead you to quit development.

Definitely web dev. being a minecraft dev may get you some money now but like eh it won't help you at all in the future.

Well you need to find what environment suits you best, do you prefer working on the web and languages associated with that or desktop applications and within that how would you want to work (Electron, UWP, all the rest - I'm not hugely educated there)

Software engineer is a broad term so you need to do some research into the areas you could learn and see if it's something you'd be interested in.

Definitely web - web development is a growing market thanks to the Internet and also web applications, requiring only HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge to make a full application. Minecraft however is slowly dying, and won't last forever.
