Hm, then I would recommend investing in a high quality portable keyboard, one that you can attach to your laptop and adjust to different heights and poses. You'll be doing a lot of typing as software engineer, and possibly a lot of it from your laptop just sitting somewhere. Having a quality adjustable keyboard will make that a LOT easier on your neck. I'll see if I can find one.

Surface pro is nice, but if you have a USB-attachable keyboard it shouldn't matter. take a look at one of these: http://www.goldtouch.com/ergonomic-keyboards/

There should be a portable one. combine that with having a good docking station for your surface pro (if they exist for that model), you should have quite the comfortable position for typing, assuming your desk and keyboard are decent.

It can get up to 60 FPS in minecraft or more I think. It's not bad at all.

I have no idea, you may wanna ask Badger, he's the one that has it. Honestly, I wouldn't care about minecraft FPS if its above 100 while running Dxtory and having it at highest shader settings.
Then again that requires monstrous power to achieve anyway.
