I'm planning on buying 2 hours of slot time on .org, but the thing is what should I expect?

I'm scared, cause i'm not rich, and this could end up as one of my bigger flops

What times are effective though, what slot number should I get, etc..

It really depends, people rent at horrible times, or don't rent for long and state that they had a bad experience.

If you are going to rent a slot, make it in the top two, maybe even top three. Rent it at peak hours, and rent it for a good 4+ hours minimum.

These are just for the best results, other things may work so feel free to argue, as I will not be replying.
damn 4 hours peak time is like 300 bucks tho

how tf do people afford this

Alright, well if you do decide to use .org, I'll go over a quick little summary.

THE CLIMB (30 mins) - The amount of players on your server will slowly rise, many players will join and leave. If you run a network you will notice some servers have much more players than the others.

PRIME TIME (90 mins) - This is where your playerbase will hover around the same, 50-60 or so. It will feel slightly overwhelming to manage this many players, but get a good staff team together to help out. Make sure you have hardware capable of hosting this many players without lagging before you begin. It will feel as if you are getting no new joins, and all 50 of the players are staying, but really players are joining and leaving at about the same rate, so things will start to settle down a little, as you get used to your playerbase.

HOLY FUCK DONT LEAVE ME FAM (10 mins) - As soon as your .org time is up, you'll notice your playerbase start to drop very fast. 70% of the players will leave, and you will be left with 10ish players on your server. Don't let this discourage you, as with the amount of unique joins you got, many players are guaranteed to come back in the future.

So yeah. I'd say around 10-15% of the joins you get are guaranteed to actually stay and play on the server over the course of multiple days. Remember, the more hours you get the more unique joins you will get therefore the more dedicated players you will get. That's about it. Slots have proven to become more and more ineffective, so I would recommend spending your money on Youtubers or something of that sort.
would this apply to servers with a 0 playerbase?
