Hi there,

I am just curious, what sites or programs to you use for your staff teams, dev teams, bug tracking or project development etc?

I have used Slack and Trello in the past, but was also looking for something to include bug tracking and project management. Those still could work, I was just wondering what else is out there that others use?

I looked into Backlog, however the free version only allows 1 project. I am not sure I want to drop $35 a month for it.

Especially since I have a small team! Thought I would ask and see what others use?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I would recommend:
  • Github for file storage
  • Discord for team communication and community feedback
  • Trello for bug and task tracking
  • Excel for project management
The Trello API is awesome. I used a points extension for chrome and Excel to create custom reporting. Worked really well. You could maybe use google spreadsheets as well, but I haven't tried that.

In our environment we use:
  • Slack for communicating.
  • JIRA as a project management tool.
  • Bitbucket as version control. The combination with JIRA is pretty great, since it's all on the same platform.
JIRA and Bitbucket are both free for up to 5 or 10 users. Slack is also free but has some limitations. There is nothing wrong with using Discord but I prefer Slack for more serious business purposes. At school I've worked with Trello and yeah, it works. But I prefer JIRA. JIRA looks pretty good UI-wise and it's fairly easy-to-use. :)

Edit: You are also able to link Bitbucket and JIRA into your Slack. So you can have some of their features in your Slack as well. Seems pretty good ;)

Yeah JIRA is really good. If you use the cloud JIRA I think there is an integration with Trello as well. I've only ever used JIRA on a local machine, but I've heard that it's pretty good.
