What to start up with $$$?

I am currently working on something which is making me a decent bit of money. I'd like to work on something else as well though, something that could eventually turn a big profit and be bigger.

My birthday is coming up, I will most likely get a couple grand so will use that to start something up. Any suggestions, ideas, or anything at all you'd like to share? I am NOT looking to invest into your "big unique" idea. I am looking to start something myself or with someone else whilst me being the main owner.

With that being said, I don't want to start some Minecraft server, service team, hosting company, or etc. I really want to start something that is scaleable and can be something bigger in the future.
