I would upgrade your ram and if your motherboard cant support it def go for motherboard. Go for ddr4 its much faster

My system is based off a prebuilt my dad gave me, I already know what case and mobo to get. No idea if this 4th gen can run my 2400Mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX

If you've already decided to get that then you should probably upgrade the GPU first

wym it's a 10 series, satisfies nearly everything

A lot can be upgraded. I would go with your main components. Ram, CPU, and GPU. Once you have that done the rest is frivolous stuff that is not quite as important if you go cheaper on.
