Hey guys, this is just a thread I want your opinion about this. It’s pretty self explanatory by the title but feel free to reply to this thread with anything at all.

An ideal manager knows when and when it's important to speak. The perfect leader, like everyone else, supports open communication and acknowledges that he / she is flawed. The ideal leader builds and leads a team, optimizing each member's strengths and reducing their weaknesses' effect.

To clarify. It will be a community and staff manager. If you could hire 1, what would you like them to do and why?

A community manager would keep the community interested, take suggestions, keep upgrading the product they like and listen, listening is the most important aspect to a manager, there's a saying “We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.”, for a staff manager, they'd do their best to get the staff to understand the players, and really what a staff manager should be doing is working with the community manager, since a staff manager is like a key to the door, and the door would be the players, and the community manager is the house that takes care of the players.

The manager MUST be able to talk via voice chat or I'm not interested. They also gotta know their sh or at least have a good history of staffing behind them. They gotta be reliable and be very active even outside the game to get things across and get ideas and help. If you have a small server do not hire a manager that requires a pay. Granted they most likely know how to manage but if you have a server that is small that's a waste of money (for ad managers you could consider a paid one too but small servers don't need ad managers). You as the owner have to be able to help your managers and kinda step on their position. Granted you might have the shiny owner tag but at the end of the day it doesn't mean anything more than a manager tag. You also gotta be patient as well as the manager. For staff managers train them and make sure they know exactly what kind of people you want in the team before letting them decide

I could go on and on but feel free to ask more information if needed

In my personal opinion, the ideal Manager would be myself or CorruptedGov. I being very experienced, dedicated, and flexible with payments as well as having many essential skills for real-world businesses, corporations, and even Minecraft servers. CorruptedGov commonly referred to as Jim is a phenomenal entrepreneur, leader, and role model within the Business and Minecraft fields. There simply is not anyone better than him, and I can admit he is leagues ahead of me in skill and experience.

Best Wishes,
Alistair F.

I’ll answer this assuming we’re talking about MCM managers. I straight up don’t like those who are pretentious. If they’re one of those folks who put CEO or any other corporate title without actually being in that position I can’t take them seriously.

I think an indication of how good they’ll be as a manager is their activity on the forums. Do they bother reading the thread or do they just reply with their generic pitch while clearly ignoring the instructions of the OP? Are they rude to anyone? Based on their posts, do they actually have experience with the MC community or are they just bullshitting?

To me having someone who actually cares about what they’re handling is the biggest thing, the second would be having experience.

My ideal manager is the one that is not member of MCM.
U can read the replies of this thread and see a bunch of self-proclaimed "professional managers" saying they are the best managers u can find.

In all said above^
I would also want a Manager that's not "business" literally 24/7.
I want my staff members to enjoy their time working for & with me, relax sometimes and have a little fun!
Relating to a Manager is also very key to me, by this I mean what do we have in common that can help build a more inviting tone?[DOUBLEPOST=1579275955][/DOUBLEPOST]

although speaking on my terms, I'd never hire a Manager from MC-Market, if I were to hire, I'd be hiring someone I've known for awhile and trusted with my entire Network.
