I'd put it in savings, that'd allow me to build up a nice amount with interest monthly to never spend a penny of it and pay for my expenses. Any jobs are then all profit.

A regular house = ~$500k
A nice house = ~$2mil
College = $10k-200k
Family member's debt = $7mil[DOUBLEPOST=1431921779,1431921640][/DOUBLEPOST]and, $1 million is worth nothing in the real world... My parents bought the house I live in for $600k (9 years ago), and a smaller, uglier house on my street sold last month for $1.4 mil...

I live in Canada... My house is like 4000 sq ft, idk how it compares to yours, but it all depends on where you live.

5 bedroom, 4 washrooms, 0.2 acres, finished hardwood basement, etc
