Best thing I got that was a good deal is a minecraft account at Walmart, back in 2011, because it opened my eyes to not only servers, but business and the future in general. I dont know who I would have became if I didn't join the wonderful MC community.
I've gotten scammed multiple times, it kills me that people, most of them already in a better financial state irl than me, resort to scamming just to make quick money. Most recently $75, but ive also dealt with things like $5-$25 all the way to (chargebacks) $200, I had fun repaying that paypal debt.

I think to date, probably my Wacom Cintiq graphics tablet, although my GPU and monitor come close. The Cintiq 13HD cost me about £680 if I remember correctly, which is roughly $1000.
In terms of being scammed, I'm a commission artist meaning unfortunately it happens now and then. Max scam was about £75, but I'm fairly thorough with my payment process to avoid things like that.
