Mine is to buy a car since Im getting my learners next year.

But I did it 100% for fun as a hobby, whicy I invested a lot in. I never truely made profit from it, but it was extremely fun while it lasted.

Funny thing was, when I sold the server (for personal reasons) I was called out as a moneywhore by the players when I wouldn't even break even on my investments towards the server.
(And I also wanted to sell to get a new owner to take care of the players & server).

Throughout the yearish i ran it approx $800.
Sold it for $550, all donations made was again spent on the server

I don't own/play mc servers anymore, but I started doing it for fun, but once I learned more about monetizing to make profit, it corrupted me and pretty much ruined servers for me.

I inherited my server and I was head-admin on it for the 7 months before I became owner of it. I do it because I love the community, not so much for the money. I could sell the server and make more so the profit of what I could running it. Tho the side money is nice so yea mostly for the community.
