Hello there!

I just wanted to start a little conversation today. When did you start playing Minecraft? Any cool things you accomplished? Share it here!

I started playing in 2011, and as crazy as it is I accomplished a ton as a 11 year old. Probably around 14 years old I helped run multiple Minecraft hosting companies. I owned multiple servers of my own but unfortunately only a few grew to be big. If you could even call it "big" I averaged 30-50 players at a time at one point, still great for 14 lol.

I wanted to share my original Minecraft Forum and Planet Minecraft accounts which was made around 8 years ago. (If this is not allowed I will gladly delete these links)

Honestly, I find threads like this really interesting and thought I would share the journey I went on getting into Minecraft.

I started out while I was still in my final year at school, I was not all that great in school, I was not great at learning and had really found my passion in working on development of servers, helping people expand their knowledge and over the years I have taken on many roles. I've been just a general configurator, marketing manager, staff & community based manager. I've owned servers, and discord giveaway servers. I've worked on service teams as sales representatives and discord moderation teams and honestly it all came from my passion for expansion on server development.

I started out working silly hard, working all through the night just to build up some reputation and almost a little bit of a name for myself. I really want to be something different, the product i was delivering had to work, with warranty & also satisfy my tough aesthetic criteria. In my opinion there is no point in providing a client with something that just works, if it looks ugly why would you use it. That's how I built myself up and continue to market myself.

So, I started playing Minecraft when I was around 14 years old, I started working as a Helper for a relatively well-known server called SkyRealms. At the time it had up-wards of 1,000 people playing while the popular YouTuber SSundee played on the server. This really helped me find in myself that really I loved working with communities of people to build something special. That's when i decided I wanted to grow up and do it all myself.

It's been a long few years and I have honestly learnt so many lessons but I can say with great confidence I'm glad I took the path I did and playing Minecraft has opened so many doors for my future.

Anyways, really nice thread and I will be watching over it as I find these types of topics fascinating.

Thank you for such a huge reply! I love to hear stories like these!

I have also been staff on a few notable servers, PixelPrison was a very old one but used to be super popular. I took a role as a administrator. Our server had AntVenom, I never really got to meet him because it was always chaos.

I started playing Minecraft around 2015 when I was 12, I mainly just played on servers my brother played on and chased him around to get his attention since back then I didn't live with him and didn't really know him so Minecraft was the only real thing I could do to play with him. After playing on a server called KGB for quite some time I met the developer of the server who made their forum, website, plugins and a lot of cool stuff that just amazed me. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, as a profession, but when I saw what that guy did and how good he was at it I fell in love with computer science. I started learning web design then slowly started doing c# and java, then before I even realized it I have meet a lot of cool people I could call friends and discovered what I wanted to do with my life which is software engineering along with general coding and programming. Minecraft was the thing that pushed me to start studying computer science and I'm so grateful for it. I know its a bit cheesy that a block game had such a big effect on my life but I don't mind that
