I agree with you completely, we are trying to get something unique for our VPS's that not many will have paid £200 for an addon n hopefully when we are done it will be noticed.

other then that everything is plan n default for all hosts and it's now so dead, compared to a few years ago.

Yes, new but guaranteed we don't run garbage
Yearly
£150 Proxmox Module

Monthly
£150 OVH Server
() McMyAdmin Enterprise Licence
€18.90 50 Servers Multicraft Licence
£15 TCAdmin
£15 WHM/Cpanel

Onetime
£20 Thread Design
£10 Logo

and this is just the start, I'm putting both the time and money towards this

What are you trying to prove here? Just because you spent a few hundred bucks doesn't make your hosting company unique.

True, but it will do with everything being built into WHMCS, even TCAdmin is being done through the panel no need to login to another client area.

same as VPS's all done on the client area.

I wouldn't even consider that ideal. WHMCS is a horrible platform for creating a server control panel in. Yes, you could have a few action buttons like stop/start/restart etc., but WHMCS doesn't allow much flexibility in customization.

It's not hard to implement something like SSO for Multicraft/TCAdmin into WHMCS. Users should care about performance and support more than they do about panel integration.

Tbh we have all these small hosts joining using that reseller program stuff and that's just not how stuff works. If people really think they want to make a host to earn a lot of money think again since you need to invest time and effort and a lot of money to
start up. I run a fairly new hosting company but we are going strong and going well I agree the industry is way too big now but people are starting to think that pricing 1GB servers at $0.50/mo is good but they don't realise what hardware their servers are run on they could be running on old rusty machines whereas we host at $1.95/mo for 1 GB we try to keep our server up to date so no errors can happen. People need to realise that pricing stuff low isn't always good

There simply isn't profit to be made in MC hosting anymore -- not unless you have something unique. The truth is that modern consumers are only willing to pay so much per gigabyte, hence why companies have lowered their pricing. It's a never ending spiral. Three or four years ago, very few companies had "budget" and "premium" plans. However, now that the market has split between users who are looking to get the lowest $/GB and users who want the best performance, companies had to adapt to ensure that they stay relevant for all users.

For Nexril at least, only a small percentage of our income comes from MC hosting, simply because users are no longer willing to pay as much as they did in the past. It's unfortunate, but there's really nothing you can do about it.

Puxib Hosting is providing $0.40/mon for 1 GB servers, While our hardware are the same as other plans, No downtime, No errors, 100% legit hosting, No fakies.
This is true but some hosts aren’t in it for the money what we do with the money. We make we donate some of it into charity and then put it back directly into the company. And no I’m not self advertising (if I sound like that apologies).
I love how people have used this thread to dis others and advertise themselves even though the whole point of the thread was to stop this from happening, scummy af

I never was trying to advertise on this thread. Nor did I say anything bad about anyone. All I said most hosts are in for the money.

The issue of all this is a multitude of things. It's not just one thing.

One of the issues isn't due to a lot of competition. It's due to lack of it. No one wants to beat out anyone else.
The stable market companies run also can't self-regulate. They just copy each other because that's all they know how to do.
It's also too many people wanting to make money with their skills in computers and servers, without an understanding of business.

Companies on MCM can't regulate themselves, ran mostly by kids (or college graduates). That's the biggest issue. It's not about the hardware or software. It's due to not having business sense. When I built Enteron, I didn't let my knowledge of computers stop me. I focused on the business.

I've come here and I see kids and everyone else post reseller programs of their own. Everyone joins in. Then what happens is on reselling. Host A makes a resell program. Host B wants in on the action. Host C joins in Host A's reselling. Then Host B starts his reselling program. So on and so forth until Host A collapses. Everyone's trying to compete with each other on MCM and no one can win. It's a free for all with people undercutting their own hosts they buy from. This causes prices to drop and the only reason why this hasn't popped yet is more companies are dropping out. But this can be a real problem as hardware to run servers gets cheaper and cheaper. And resellers only resell to make money to recoup any losses. It's brutal slavery because it's a very nasty Conflict of Interest, similar to a pyramid scheme. It's a game on Jenga.

While this isn't illegal, it is the cause of an inefficient market that can't regulate itself.

The fix? Figure out how to stop it. Unfortunately, price is what everyone goes to because it's the easiest. Software and hardware won't change this either. It doesn't matter how "good" you are, it matters if you can maneuver yourself away from the crowd. That takes smarts and a lot of perseverance, as well as failure.

In short, MCM has growing pains.
