Which ear is your “phone call” ear?

I’m curious which is more common, and how or if it correlates with which hand is your dominant one.

Left ear, and I’m right handed.

Well, no… I carry my phone in my left hand too. And now that you’ve made me realize it for the first time, I have absolutely no idea why. It just feels more natural.

Very interesting indeed. My left ear is dominant, period, to the point where my right ear sounds noticeably quieter. It’s prominent and annoying enough that I actually thought I’d damaged my right ear’s hearing, but both my audiograms came out normal. Idk what happened, really, since they used to be much more equal to one another.

Perhaps it’s dominant for certain sounds? What habbits do you have with your right ear.

Habits? I mean, I don’t really do anything with only a single ear except take phone calls. I know some people listen to only one ear-bud, but I haven’t done that in 3 years. When I did, it was always the left. And that was back when my ears were more equal.

I'm right-handed and use my right ear to talk. Sometimes I might use my left ear without thinking about it though.

I call on speaker or with airpods. So both?

The ear that is on the same side of which pocket my phone is in. If it's in the right pocket I use my right ear and vice versa. When I leave the house I just put my phone, wallet and keys into pockets at random.
