Which jar file should I use?

Hey guys,

I'm making a Factions server and I would like for it to be 1.8 (PvP, etc), but I want to allow players from the latest client to join. (1.1+).

I've tried Spigot 1.8, 1.88, 1.11 and I've had no luck, so many of my plugins keep breaking.

Which jar file and which plugins should I be using? I've been trying different jar file and plugin combinations (ViaVersion).

Any help?

lowest client version supported (in your case 1.8) with via version
