So im open to anyones opinion but if people who actually play skyblock can comment with their opinions that would be great. I have had and seen lots of people looking for skyblock servers ti move from 1.8 to 1.12. Im just curious how everyone else feels.

It's my opinion that the majority of players will prefer 1.12 for skyblock. From my experience with popular skyblock servers, the ones that use 1.8 as a version have a lot of requests to switch. Players like the blocks and items of 1.12, it allows for better items and features to be developed, and it tends to draw a lot of new players (there were some servers I would name for examples but I'm forgetting their names). The only drawbacks seem to be performance (I haven't seen a single 1.12 server with over 200 players with a TPS above 12) and the combat mechanics (though PvP is not a big mechanic among players, just go to any warp pvp on popular skyblock servers vs popular factions servers).
personally I'd make a 1.13 skyblock servers just because it was one of the best updates to block boy ;P

I wish - 1.13 hasn't been stable enough to really use and there are way too many plugin incompatibilities. Maybe in a year or so...personally I'd make a 1.13 skyblock servers just because it was one of the best updates to block boy ;P
