not for me, using the redstone plan i get no lag at all 19.98-20.00 TPS with good old 6gb of ram, but yes their support is slowNo, just no.. Shockbyte is shit imo.. They responded to my tickets in like 48 hours.. My server got setup like in 72 hours.. Then I got random lag spikes on the server. :/
I use 8GB. I believe it is the "Diamond" Plan.. I get around 16TPS, which isn't bad I guess, but sometimes I reach to 5TPS when lag spikes happen which really can tick off players.not for me, using the redstone plan i get no lag at all 19.98-20.00 TPS with good old 6gb of ram, but yes their support is slow
Checking into it! Thanks for the links.http://kimsufi.com/
Really cheap dedicated servers. OVH owns Kimsufi. They only have French servers however.

Also another site for cheap dedicated servers. They have US locations but for some machines, they're out of stock.
Thanks, but Shockbyte has everything set so you can't change anything.. AFAIK..16TPS average TPS isn't good at all...
Hope you realize that RAM isn't everything. It all depends on your server. A 16GB RAM server can have the same performance as a 8GB one.
Also, the hard drive plays a huge factor as well. Your world loading will be much faster for players if you use an SSD. Also, if you use a local database for some plugins, and you're constantly interacting with the database, an SSD will be much faster.
Lastly, the CPU. Minecraft isn't thread safe. Which means that all it's main processes are run on one core of the CPU. So better the single-core performance of a CPU, the faster it'll run your Minecraft server. The following link shows you a list of CPUs followed by their single-core performance. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html

it could also depend on number 1 when you actually used shockbyte, and 2 how many plugins you have16TPS average TPS isn't good at all...

thats not 100% true, you can change config files, just not the playerbase, and with the ip, just get a subdomain from like freedns.afraid.orgThanks, but Shockbyte has everything set so you can't change anything.. AFAIK..
._. I thought you were smarter.. When I said "set." I meant the server specs.. Also, you can change the amount of slots you would like.it could also depend on number 1 when you actually used shockbyte, and 2 how many plugins you have
i have the redstone plan (duh) and as of NOW my stats are: 94 plugins free memory 3558 out of 5461 1m 20 5m 19.97 15m 19.94 tps[DOUBLEPOST=1441549290,1441547467][/DOUBLEPOST]

Also! Great! You got a server that can host that much. Although, bad! I'm probably not the lucky guy here.. Afterall.. I lag.
