So... Just wondering, would anyone in the MC-Market community be interested in playing on a whitelisted SMP server? Wanted to start a private one for quite some time. The rent is pretty cheap so a couple of dollars a month would be enough to fund the project, I don't mind paying a few dollars out of my pocket every month if people are gonna play :p . Would love to hear opinions on this :)

If you really want to do this.. I recommend adding a Simp Title
Charge only $10 per title. And you'll make some easy profits off of this :D

If you want to start a whitelisted community, I suggest posting on Minecraft Forum. I set up my own server called Sandbox Survival and it was brilliant fun to run and play on as we had a very stable 5-8 constant playerbase with a 70 member Discord server.

Most people donated small amounts of money to keep the server running and I found giving novelty perks such as a custom Discord role or even a custom named voice channel kept them happy.

Also, just a heads up: I found running a 1.16 (pre-release) JAR was difficult on 2-3GB, so I recommend starting on something like 4-6GB -- this really depends on playerbase though.

Hope this helps!
Thanks so much for the tips! I currently have a 5GB server and am working on it. Yeah true, but I just want to hear MC-Ms interested in this, and overall the Minecraft community. I run budget hosting on pebblehost so pretty much $5/month is the only expense that needs to be covered for the server to go on. Thanks again for the tips :) <3
